The Role
As a Protocol Engineer at Daylight, you’ll help build the smart contracts and decentralized backend systems that power our onchain energy network. Our protocol connects real-world energy hardware with crypto incentives, using verifiable contracts, oracle data, and offchain integrations.
You should bring strong experience in Solidity, DeFi architectures (stablecoins, lending, rewards), and cross-chain deployment using LayerZero, Wormhole, or similar technologies. You’ll also design trust-minimized systems that ingest offchain data through Chainlink, Chronicle, or custom oracle networks.
As a fast-moving early-stage team, you’ll also support backend work—Python/Django APIs, offchain services, and integrations with our contract layer. This is a high-ownership role working directly with the founding team to shape Daylight’s protocol design.
This role is in-person in our New York City office.
