Role Overview
Allium builds data-dense products for advanced crypto and finance teams, ingesting millions of on-chain events and surfacing insights across thousands of schemas. We’re hiring our first designer — a Founding Product Designer who loves making sense of complexity and wants real ownership. You’ll define our design language, systems, and standards while shaping how customers explore and act on blockchain data.
This role is for someone energized by messy datasets and intuitive interfaces. You’ll design visual systems that scale across charts, dashboards, workflows, and power-user tools, and play a key role in product direction.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end product design — from information architecture to UI polish.
- Create high-fidelity visualizations for on-chain behavior, markets, and complex datasets.
- Design with technical context — collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams.
- Build Allium’s first design system — components, patterns, charts, and layouts.
- Prototype interaction models for chain abstractions and analytical workflows.
- Establish design culture — crits, reviews, workflows, and documentation.
- Run usability loops with power users for clarity across analytical surfaces.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with growth, marketing, and customer teams.
- Elevate visual expression toward precision and trustworthiness.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years designing dashboards, analytical tools, or complex data workflows.
- A portfolio showing mastery of complexity and clear visual reasoning.
- Experience in crypto, fintech, trading, analytics, or ability to learn fast.
- Comfort with power-user UX — filters, fast workflows, dense layouts.
- Strong clarity instincts and information-organization skills.
- Fluency collaborating with engineers and data teams.
- Design systems experience and a systems-thinking mindset.
- Clear communication and low-ego collaboration.
- Curiosity for crypto and data systems.
Bonus Points
- Crypto analytics or explorer/dashboard experience.
- Visualization or HCI background.
- Technical fluency with SQL, charting libraries, or data tools.
