Who We're Looking For
The smart contract team at Paxos Labs has shipped multiple decentralized primitives from lending markets to vaults. We’re seeking a developer who can research, design, and build mission-critical DeFi software for enterprise use. You’ll work across protocol design, security, and onchain architecture.
We’re especially interested in developers drawn to:
- DeFi Yield Strategies
- Tokenization
- Decentralized Lending
- Under/un-collateralized Lending
Responsibilities
- Research and design protocol mechanisms across vaults, lending, and other DeFi primitives.
- Lead protocol design decisions, evaluating trust and efficiency tradeoffs.
- Develop Solidity contracts and maintain comprehensive test suites.
- Uphold strong organization and security standards for an open-source codebase.
Qualifications
Knowledge definitions:
Deep knowledge = direct contributions or integration experience with low-level understanding.
Familiarity = high-level understanding with interest but no direct contributions.
Deep knowledge in Lending codebases:
- Compound, Aave, Morpho Blue, MakerDAO, Euler, EVC, Liquity, Pendle
Deep knowledge in Vaults codebases:
- Yearn V3, Metamorpho / Morpho V2, BoringVaults, ERC7540, Centrifuge
Familiarity with AMMs or solver networks:
- CoW Protocol, UniswapX, 1inch, Uniswap V3/V4
Familiarity with RFQs:
- Hashflow, 1inch RFQ, or off-chain exchange systems (including TradFi)
Experience
- Shipping production Solidity to mainnet.
- Maintaining tests: unit, fork, fuzzing, invariants (Foundry or Echidna).
- Using Foundry (preferred) or Hardhat.
- Familiarity with Vyper, Rust, Cairo, or CosmWasm.
- Experience as an active degen / investor / user in DeFi protocols.
Nice-to-Haves
- CTFs, gas optimization, hackathons.
- Experience beyond Solidity: rollups, node operations, ZK systems.
- Broad protocol and architecture design exposure.
