Director of Credit
We’re seeking a Director of Credit to lead underwriting, credit strategy, and portfolio risk for our creator finance products. You’ll chair the Credit Committee, build frameworks, develop proprietary models, and partner with leadership on capital deployment, investor diligence, and portfolio scaling.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve underwriting frameworks across UGC gaming, creators, and music.
- Chair Credit Committee; set portfolio strategy (concentration, exposure, reserves).
- Lead diligence on complex deals (catalogs, RBF, ABL); build risk models and stress tests.
- Monitor defaults, loss curves, vintage data; manage early warnings and collections.
- Translate platform data (YouTube, Roblox, distributors) into underwriting logic.
- Develop scoring models and automated decisioning; partner with eng on pipelines.
- Recruit and mentor credit team; document standards; align with product, eng, legal, ops.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ yrs in underwriting, structured finance, venture debt, or ABL.
- Experience leading credit teams or serving as a senior credit decision-maker.
- Expert financial modeling and credit risk analysis; advanced Excel.
- Built underwriting frameworks for new/alt asset classes.
- Experience presenting to Credit/Investment Committees.
- Strong knowledge of DSCR, IRR/ROI, PD/LGD, recoveries, reserves.
- Comfort with large datasets to extract insights.
- Experience with collections workflows and legal filings (UCC/security agreements).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with royalties, RBF, marketplace lending, or media finance.
- Familiarity with creator economy revenue streams.
- Skills in SQL/Python.
- Fintech or credit infrastructure experience.
- Interest in crypto or digital IP economies.
